1. Active Footprints - A place where the user gives the personal information intentionally on social media or websites 

2. Passive Footprints - A place where the user did not give permission to access the personal information, but the unknown website take the information. 

Examples

Active Footprints - Giving Personal information on secure platforms like Faceook, Twitter, Google, WhatsApp, Etc.

Passive Footprints - Websites that install cookies, using our geolocation, unknown websites without out permission.
